Delicate, fine fabrics such as silk, organza, voile, thin fabrics made of or with man-made fibers often place high demands on the needle when sewing – here the Black Super Fine needle from Schmetz with its special properties is a great alternative, because the non-stick coating ensures better gliding of the needle through the fabric and the thread through the eye, thus allowing gentler processing. It is normal that the surface of needles with non-stick coating becomes lighter over time during sewing. This does not affect the anti-adhesive properties. For very light fabrics, we recommend “sewing in” the needle on a scrap of fabric for about 1 m before first use.
