Combining color in patchwork is challenging, but can be learned by any of us. The
3-in-1 ColorTool by Joen Wolfrom
is a great help, because you can easily select other fabrics to match a focal fabric. After a brief introduction and overview of the tool, we immediately start combining fabrics and sewing a small block. In doing so, we proceed step by step. In 4 hours we will conjure up two to three color harmonies – all we need is the ColorTool and as many fabric scraps as possible from your stash. The twist here is that we work with the patterned or solid color fabrics you already have. After booking the course you will receive a material list and the link for zoom access.

About Claudia Itzwerth
Traditional or modern patchwork? Neither! I would say that my color and fabric pattern choices are more modern oriented, but I love designing areas and blocks – and this is definitely part of traditional patchwork. I studied fashion design, but discovered my love for graphic design during my studies and work as a communication designer.
I first tried patchwork in 2005 and realized that yes, it is the perfect symbiosis of fashion and graphics. I was born in 1970, am a real northern light and live in Schleswig-Holstein. On the side I have built up a patchwork online store, put a lot of heart and soul into the selection of the assortment and like the contact with my customers, because chatting about fabrics, patterns and colors is just a lot of fun! Since the end of 2021 I have been developing instructions for quilts together with Anja Seebald.
I am a course instructor of the Patchwork Gilde Deutschland e. V. and look forward to meeting you in my course!
