This quilt was created during the course leader training of the Patchwork Gilde Deutschland e. V. In the “Traditional” module with lecturer Annette Tatchen, we designed a patchwork block in a guided design process to experience the effect of large areas in a quilt. The block I designed is based on a 4-part grid and creates a new pattern when placed on a large area. The fabrics used – a bright yellow solid and a gradient fabric – emphasize this effect.
